Turkish people are very tolerant towards guests.
And you are a nice Person and do want to respect others way of life ! You can find your selfs facing charges relating to cultural differences, such as using bad language, rude gestures or public displays of affection

Do NOT try to kiss (or pay special attention) other mans Women.

 

Do NOT walk around in your swimming cloths in the Town or Village

 

Do NOT walk into Mosque with shorts or Bikini ect.

 

Do NOT clean your nose on the Table while you are having dinner with a Local family

 

Do NOT use F*** words when other mans ladys around.

 

Do NOT take the micky about the Religion what ever the situation is !

 

Do NOT assault Turkish Flag or Turkish Money,stay away from Politics

 

In UK,you can get drunk and start to shout and act silly on the streets, but in Turkey if you go too far,Consequences can be harsh .Locals can takes matters in their own hands .

 

Do NOTUrinate openly on the street.Being Drunk is No Excuse

 

Do NOT walk into the Hills,Forest,Mountains without a Local Guide.

 

Do NOTbuy or order anything without agreeing about the Price first.

 

Do NOT take photographs near military or official installations

-Muslims wash themselves and remove their shoes.
-Foreign visitors MUST also remove their shoes .
-Show the RESPECT you would in any other house of worship.
-Avoid visiting the mosque during prayer time.
-Women MUST cover their heads and arms, and not wear any kind of miniskirts.
