GOKBEL VILLAGE NEAR SARIGERME

Gokbel has got lots of corners where you can peak in to many magical idylic scenery. Just after Mergenli Village Road continues to Gokbel junction.

It is an area where the sunset and dawn can be watched. Gokbel Village consist of several neighbourhoods dodted around on the hills.

If you turn right from this junction you will be heading towards Dalyan passing the sungurlu lake through flower dotted iztuzu beach road.

Shortly after you entered this road just before the little bridge there is a nice garden restaurant to stop by. If you drive further that road, this will lead you eventually to Dalyan Town.

Instead of turning right from the Gokbel junction turn left here to drive further all the way up where you will come across signs indicating refreshment places such as famous SAHIN TEPESI, meaning Falken Hill which has nothing to do with bird specious but this Cafe with fabulous View takes its name from the owner Sahin, who came from big city Istanbul to settle in this peacefull area.

Just before you arrive to these refreshment places you will notice that the road divides, if you take the right it will take you to one of the fascinating views in Turkey, overlooking the dalyan delta, turtle beach, lake, mountains, river boats. It is worth while to spend some time on this spot.

The entire neighberhood is very lively and pleasant in terms of nature and wildlife.

You can go back to Sarigerme the same way you came by following the road of Mergenli or alternativly you can drive to Dalyan and spend some time there before heading back to Sarigerme.

You can also drive back from Dalyan through Ortaca Town, ones you are in Ortaca follow the main road till you see the signpost for sarigerme village (after Turkish Bath)

Please note, if possible try to drive during day time hours as drink driving is common between mergenli and dalyan roads. In order to avoid to be caught by the patrolling jandarma, people who drink using the backroads instead.

Alltogether Gokbel area is a fabulous for watching the nature, picnic, gorgeous idylic views, photo shooting and simply admiring the beauty of the world.

Idealy start of this trip needs to be very early in the morning to enjoy it more as later on the day heat rises and can be especialy during the high summer times very hot. So, go bed early .
