Simply bring your own curreny with you, you do not need to exchange it at all, you can shop with your own currency or exchange it in the Village for better rates.

Question :Do I have to have a Visa to get in to Turkey ?

Yes, Visa can be optained at the Arrival Airport, ones you come off the plane signs will be indicating very clearly the directions to the visa desk. remember to bring along ten sterling bank note with you (for the uk citizens) for each person in your party, including infants. For example if you are five person, then you need to have five times ten sterling banknotes with you, not two twenties and one tenner.
